For this assignment I took a picture of my sister for a portrait. I wanted the main focus to be on her and not anything in the background. I also wanted to capture her emotions while taking the picture. Edit: Crop and change of levels in adjustments. Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter Speed: 1/60 ISO: 1250 I took these portrait photos against a wall so there wasn't much distraction in the background. I felt that the rose was a nice touch in the other photos to add eye candy. I cropped the best image to make both sides even. Also I darkened the face to make it pop more from the lightness of the background.

I like these pictures, especially the ones with the rose. It adds a nice pop of color/ interests, and your sister's personality is clearly showcased. The exposure is good as well. The one suggestion that I have would be to find an even blanker background - maybe a wall without any decorations on it - or painting the background in Photoshop. The posters are a bit distracting from your main subject.
