Entering this class I new a lot of things about the camera and taking pictures because I had just finished the photo 1 class. But after wrapping up the second portion of the class I have found that my skills in photography have gained a lot more. I loved to take pictures of my dog because I think he is cute and very photogenic. Also I liked the struggle of trying to get him to pose and stay still for the picture. I took a lot of pictures of him throughout the course. In this class I didn't just further my knowledge on taking pictures but composing them as well. This year my photoshop skills went from very poor to moderate and average which is a huge jump for me. I liked making Pano graphics and HDR's. I also Enjoyed collages because I thought they looked really cool and where fun to make. I really liked how open this class was. You have the freedom to take whatever pictures you want which was very fun. I didn't really enjoy the photoshop portion at the beginning of the year because I wasn't good at it but now I have gained more intelligence on the subject and actually like it now. In conclusion to this class and the year I am really happy with how much I have grown with the knowledge of digital photography. I hope to continue with taking pictures in the future and teaching my family how to take pictures like I can. Also getting photoshop at home so I can continue to make cool pictures and collages. I really recommend taking this class to anyone who wants to learn to take pictures and have fun doing it, I know I did.

For this assignment we had a chance to take pictures of whatever we liked to take pictures of. I like to take pictures of HDR and I like to make collages and pano graphics in photoshop. Collage: HDR: Pano-Graphic: I liked this assignment because we weren't tied down to one topic. Also I didn't have to take pictures of anything that I didn't want to. Because of that I enjoyed taking all of these pictures. I liked how the HDR's came off the camera and out of photoshop they look very vibrant and luminous. I tried to fade the collage the best I could so it could look like ones whole photo. Overall this was my favorite assignment to create.
For this assignment, I chose black and white I took a picture of items that would look good with no color or represented plain life. After the picture was taken I used the black and white filter to take away all color. Edit: B&W and Framing ISO: 1250 Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter Speed: 1/60 I liked this assignment because the poster said "Happy All Day Long" and the picture is black and white kind of playing a spin on the words. By taking all of the colors out of it. The assignment itself was pretty easy and i'm glad I found an object that would work for this assignment.
For this assignment we had to find ads online and then try and make the same ad using pictures from our camera and trying to duplicate the ad. Original: My Version: Original: My Version: At the beginning of this assignment I was confused on what to do and how to do it. Along the experiment I learned what the idea of the assignment was by looking at other peoples. I liked how I used my own pictures to create a ad instead of just doing some photoshop on pictures off the internet.
For this assignment I took pictures of macro. I liked the shading and shadows in my best picture I took a brown frame because it complimented the picture well. Edit: Framing ISO: 2500 Aperture: f/4.5 Shutter Speed: 1/50 I liked this assignment because everything looked different all close up and it was fun trying to get the picture look right with the zoom. I liked the soap suds pictures because you could see all of the particles.
For this assignment we had to take portrait pictures in and out of a studio. The studio has a white sheet and lights to make it a balanced photo. And outside of the studio we used a sheet to get the light on the other side of the face. Studio: Non-Studio: I liked this assignment because we got to use a studio instead of just taking random pictures. I felt more professional because I could adjust the lighting based on the shadows. I didn't like the non-studio pictures because it was hard to get the lighting right.
In this assignment I experimented in light painting. I haven't done this before so it was sort of challenging it is where you raise the shutter speed it 15-30 seconds and you can paint with the light. Edit: Frame, Saturation I liked that in this assignment I got to have fun and try painting with a flashlight I really enjoyed how the photos turned out for my first time.
For this assignment we had to take pictures of our self and people to express their mood. I took pictures of my dad fishing and my sister cleaning to show the work they were doing. For myself I tried to find cool angles to take pictures of myself. Self portraits:Environmental Portraits:I liked that in this assignment I got to spend time with my family and have fun taking the pictures. I also liked that I was the subject for some of them instead of the photographer.
In this assignment we had to take multiple pictures of a canvas in different angles and then try to align them best as possible in photoshop, therefor creating the panographic. In this assignment I learned that it is very important not to move around while getting the different shots, I also started with a regular pano picture and then built off of that instead of starting with a picture. I prefer to manually put the pictures together because it looks nicer and more clean but the down side is it takes a lot longer to produce.
In this assignment I took pictures of some food in my house I found a good piece of tuna that had a lot of color to it. Original: Edit: Levels, Framing, Crop I learned that the light shining through the window created a good exposer to complement the pink of the fish I also liked ho there was a different color aspect with the shiny silver skin. I chose this plate because it was colorful and added an extra element.
