In this assignment I wanted to use the depth of field to show the texture difference in the photo. I used a flash and a low F-stop to create a small depth of field. I used the pineapple as the main focus of the photograph and the other fruit in the background to fill the frame up so there wasn't empty space. Aperture: f/4.0 Shutter speed: 1/60 ISO: 1600 In this assignment I learned that the use of aperture is very important and having something in the background to catch the eye is very appealing. Finding something to photograph was very easy because food isn't scarce, but what was hard was getting the lightning right for the photo. I ended up using flash because it lowered the ISO so the photo was clean and had little to no digital noise.

In this assignment our task was to take a photo of our self then use photoshop to make they photo black and whit and sharp. Then make the original photo into 4 individual photos that are all the same and make them 4 different colors, red, green, blue and yellow. Below are examples of both of my assignments. In this assignment I learned how to use the hue and saturation tool in photoshop to make the photographs different colors. Which can be useful while editing in the future.
For my second photo I chose to focus on food. I want to have the food be the eye catcher of the photo. Im thinking of taking the photo either on the side with a short depth of field or having a top view of the food. Some pictures that have inspired me: These photos have inspired me because they have the food in focus and the background blurred. The middle photo is interesting because it is taken from a different angle. All of them show the food really well and are very clean photos with no digital noise.
For the first photo assignment I took pictures of an animal which happened to be my dog. I had to take multiple pictures of my subject then narrow it down to only a couple photos. Trying to express the dogs emotions and actions in the photo. Below is my best photo from the photo 1 assignment. Apature: f/4.0 Shutter Speed: 1/60 ISO: 1600 Taking these photos was a fun assignment, I got to spend time with my dog and also capture some of his personality while doing it. Which was the goal of the assignment. I wanted to take a photo were the face was in focus and the rest of the body was out of focus creating a short depth of field. The other pictures also show my subjects actions as well. I learned that the flash was useful in low light situations so you don't have to have digital noise with a high ISO, also I found it super easy to get action shots of my dog because he never stops moving!
For my first photo I decided to focus on animals. Im hoping to capture the animals personality when taking the photo. Using a short depth of field to put the focus on the animal and not the background. These are some photos I found online that have Inspired me: I think these are great examples because they really focus on the animal and not on the background. Using the short depth of field the viewer can really know what the animal is like because they are not distracted with the background. Also the pictures were taking in their natural habitats so it really expresses them.
