For this assignment we had to take multiple photos explaining different elements of composition. Below are the photos I have taken for each composition. Balance: Aperture-f/5.0 Shutter Speed- 1/1000 ISO- 100 Contrast: Aperture- f/3.4 Shutter Speed- 1/1000 ISO- 100 Emphasis: Aperture- f/4.5 Shutter Speed- 1/1000 ISO- 160 Motion: Aperture- f/4.0 Shutter Speed- 1/30 ISO-800 Proportion: Aperture- f/4.5 Shutter Speed- 1/1000 ISO- 100 Repetion: Aperture - f/3.4 Shutter Speed- 1/30 ISO- 125 Simplicity: Aperture - f/4.0 Shutter Speed- 1/40 ISO- 125 Space: Aperture- f/4.0 Shutter Speed- 1/40 ISO- 200 Unity: Aperture- f/4.5 Shutter speed- 1/1000 ISO- 125 In this assignment I learned more about composition and how to try different angles and viewpoints to get a well composed picture and to not be lazy.

I took this class to further my photography skills and make me have even more knowledge on the subject. I wasn't the best at photoshop coming out of photo 1 but I knew the basics. In this class I hope to advance my photoshop skills. I am looking forward to what I am going to learn this trimester.
The first day I came into this class I had no idea what anything was or how anything worked. I didn't know how to change the aperture or shutter speed or ISO. let alone even knowing what any of those terms meant. Here are some of my pictures from the first couple weeks of this course. As you can see the composition and exposer are all wrong in these photos their is digital noise and they are just really bad quality overall. Throughout this class I started to use my own personal camera. I then learned how to adjust things such as the shutter speed to make pictures stop action and motion blur, also the aperture to create a depth of field. My pictures progressively got better as the class went on. Here are some examples. My exposer got better and better and my pictures started to look more and more clean. I learned a lot of information in this course and it was very beneficial. I didn't like to take pictures at the beginning of this class now I will go take pictures just for fun. This course has taught me a lot between taking photos and using photoshop and other tools like tripods. Below is a picture I took using a tripod. I had so much fun meeting new people and taking pictures this trimester, I am so glad that I found a new hobby!
For this assignment I took pictures of Amera in portrait style to eliminate shadows. I learned how to make the "frame" behind the pictures in photoshop. I used brightness and contrast to make the face lighter and take away the shadows.
For this assignment I chose to take picture of objects that may look good in black and white. By moving objects around and trying new things I found some good angles. After Photoshop: (Black and White filter.) Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter Speed: 1/60 ISO: 800 I learned in this assignment not to take photos of things that don't have much color to begin with. I used that black and white filter on photoshop to make the pictures only colors consist of black and white. I liked the chair photo because it had some color in the chair already and it complemented the gloom of the bronze and snow.
